It is understood that celebrating a bar/bat mitzvah at Temple Beth El is subject to the following policies of the congregation

Families must be members in good standing of the synagogue at the time of the Bar/Bat Mitzvah.

Tutoring for the Bar or Bat Mitzvah will include teaching your child to read Hebrew if needed. Choices of tutoring will be analyzed case by case; we provide Tutoring@HOME.

Bar/Bat Mitzvah candidate must be enrolled in BMC@TBE during the year of the Bar/Bat Mitzvah.

TBE reserves the right to schedule multiple B’nai Mitzvah on the same day.

This application represents confirmation of the service date only with the synagogue. If you wish to have your celebration in our ballroom, please contact Ilissa Nelsen to confirm availability of the date.

Bar/Bat Mitzvah dates will not be changed once lessons have begun unless deemed necessary by the Rabbi.

The Bar/Bat Mitzvah fee is $2,400 per child. This fee is non-refundable and covers private Bar/Bat Mitzvah lessons, materials and all items that are found on the insert for the type of service you have chosen. If you need a financial plan, please select the $480 initial deposit and call the office to review a financial plan for your balance.

A non-refundable deposit of $480 must accompany this application for your date to be held. It is understood that all dues, fees and financial obligations must be paid in full at least ninety (90) days prior to the Bar/Bat Mitzvah.
